ถือเป็นการแข่งขันกันอย่างดุเดือด เพื่อคว้ารางวัล Game of The Year โดยเกม Fortnite Battle Royale ก็เป็นหนึ่งในนั้นที่ได้รางวัลแถมยังเอาชนะเกมตัวเต็มอย่าง Red Dead Redemption 2 และอีกหลายๆ เกมเลยด้วยนอกจากนี้ เกม Fortnite นั้นยังได้มาอีกหนึ่งรางวัลคือ รางวัล Best Competitive Game อีกด้วยครับ โดยคาดว่าเกมได้สร้างปรากฎการณ์ได้เป็นวงกว้าง สร้างเซอร์ไพรส์ให้กับผู้เล่นทำให้มีนักร้อง ดาราและนักแสดงหลายๆ ท่านมาเล่นเกมนี้กันอย่างแพร่หลาย ทำให้เกมเมอร์หลายๆ คนโหวตให้เกม Fortnite Battle Royale เป็น Game of The Year 2018
